Job Description:

To manage the provision of an internal administrative support service to the Legal & Compliance Unit within eThekwini Municipality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the acquisition of office and information technology equipment.
  • Develops and trains staff.
  • Manages administrative functions pertaining to departmental accommodation requirements, allocation and servicing of departmental vehicles and monitoring the departmental library.
  • Manages the budget of the Administration and Support Branch.
  • Manages the Units assets and the register.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration or Business Administration or Financial Management or equivalent.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration or Business Administration or Financial Management or equivalent.
  • 6 Years relevant experience of which 2 years must be at a supervisory level.
  • 7 Years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level.
