Operations Manager

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data engineering, along with excellent leadership and project management skills. The role requires the ability to streamline processes, ensure data quality, and drive continuous improvement in our data pipelines and infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Manage end-to-end data engineering projects, including requirements gathering, planning, execution and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
• Team Leadership: Lead/mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative & innovative environment
• Data Pipeline Management: Oversee the design, development and maintenance of scalable and efficient data pipelines ensuring data is collected, processed and integrated from various sources to support analytics and reporting needs
• Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with the infrastructure team to optimize and scale the data engineering environment ensuring high availability and performance of data processing and storage systems.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data solutions that meet their needs
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain data quality checks, validation processes, and data cleansing procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data

Job Requirements:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python
• At least 5 years of experience In Data Engineering or related field, with 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, data science or a related field
• Experience with data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
