Job Description: Ensure correct packing and sterilization of instrument sets and linen packs for theatre and doctors’ rooms in accordance with Company infection control standards by CSSD staff Job Responsibilities: Good communication/interpersonal skills Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage the Unit workload Manage CSSD staff to ensure adequate and cost-effective staffing promoting co-operative working relationships and performance management Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Department to ensure adherence to infection control and SHEQ policies and procedures. Manage the department’s budget, including control and maintenance of equipment and stock Effectively market the Unit to the Doctors to promote satisfactory working relationships Job Requirements: Previous experience in managing a CSSD department would be highly advantageous Current registration with SANC Registered Nurse Theatre Qualified qualification required (Post Graduate Degree in Operating Theater Technique) Flexibility related to working hours Previous staff management and conflict management experience required Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
