Job Description: To push litter on a heap with the tractor (or any other powerful farm machine for which you are properly licenced, with large rear wheels used chiefly for pushing/ hauling manure and other items), and then load the litter on the provided vehicle in alignment with predefined work objectives (as per agreed standard operating procedures). Job Responsibilities: Litter that fell outside of the building must also be loaded on the provided vehicles. Continuously ensure that damages to buildings and equipment are avoided to prevent financial losses. Do a pre- and post-inspection daily before and after catching and report any faults or damages to direct supervisor. Pushing litter from the back to the front of the building, litter is then removed from the building and placed on the provided vehicle. Ensure that the relevant tractor/ machine does not clean nearer than a meter from the walls of the building. Off-loading of machines and equipment upon arrival at the farm. Wash and disinfect all equipment at the end of the day, and before equipment is taken to another farm. Job Requirements: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent. Exposed to loud noise, moving machinery and farm equipment. A clear criminal record is a must. Position is based in and around chicken houses setting on farms. At least 1 year experience as tractor operator in a similar environment. A valid tractor licence is required.
