Porter – Pharmacy

Job Description:

The successful candidate will contribute towards the optimal functioning of patient services by enabling smooth running and support in delivering quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivering of prescriptions as well as any other goods, to relevant units/personnel within the hospital
• Transporting of medication to the wards
• Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare Standards
• Providing prompt, courteous service to all patients, staff, doctors, and any other persons
• Collection of prescriptions from the wards

Job Requirements:

• Able to work shifts (day or night) and overtime as required. Must be customer service orientated
• Grade 12
• An enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized individual with initiative and ability to handle pressure
• Must be able to do weekend calls
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Teamwork essential
