Job Description: The Product Development Manager (Junior) is required to drive product development, implementation, and maintenance of key product portfolios within Discovery Bank. Ultimately the Product Development Manager is responsible for implementing the product strategy, and as a result requires a diverse skillset ranging from strategy implementation, deep analytical and banking product knowledge, and strong inter-personal skills drive deliverables across multiple areas in the business. Job Responsibilities: Conduct market/competitor/client focused research to understand potential opportunities for improvement or new product development Produces reports and brings recommendations for decisions relating to new and existing products Defining the product roadmap: Supporting Product Managers in creating and implementing strategies to meet business goals Supports Product Managers to deliver outcomes in the initial design of a go to market product set thereafter in the continuous product portfolio review and development (life-cycle management) Developing new products and features Job Requirements: Strong analytical and communication skills: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint Experience in working with systems delivery teams in a digital first organisation preferred Strong technical product knowledge in retail banking and payments Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, IT, Finance or Bus Science advantageous Undergraduate degree/diploma Demonstrated ability to deliver on complex projects in a retail banking and / or payment space 1-3 years’ banking experience in a Product Development / Product or Analytical role
