Job Description: In addition to focusing on the actual models, the team is also responsible for IT solutions that support the models and end-to-end automation, e.g., databases and other modelling / data platforms, and for minimising model & other risks via appropriate governances. Job Responsibilities: Designing and maintaining databases for the management of all actuarial reporting data Finding and implementing solutions for modeling & reporting challenges Identifying opportunities for standardisation and improved efficiency through automation or process changes Working on projects spanning several business units Designing, implementing & maintaining appropriate IT solutions in support of the actuarial reporting function Training & supervising others in modeling & processes Job Requirements: Strong programming skills (exposure to Actuarial Modelling software as well as C#, SQL, VBA, Python, etc. would be a distinct advantage) 5 or more years of applicable work experience demonstrating competency Demonstrable database skills Available roles range from junior to supervisory and span several disciplines, including actuarial, IT/programming, database architecture Actuarial student making good progress with exams Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to design appropriate models and IT / process solutions to address business requirements
