Senior Engineer

Job Description:

To ensure that all assets integrated into the Power System meet the South African Transmission and Distribution code requirements for the Reliability and Security.

Job Responsibilities:

• Detailed risk analysis of new asset integration into the Power System
• Review of power system equipment and technology specifications
• Providing engineering support in the field of Power System Operations
• Asset integration in line with the South African Grid Code and Renewable Code

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Eskom Policies and Procedures
• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registered as Professional Engineer
• Negotiation and networking skills
• BSc / B Eng in Electrical Engineering at NQF 8 with 480 credits
• Related Minimum Experience:
• 4 Years’ experience in power systems environment with plant knowledge
• Knowledge of appropriate legislation
• Knowledge of the South African Grid Code and Renewable Code
• Communication skills
