Systems Analyst

Job Description:

The South African Medical Research Council’s Strategy, Project Management and Business Analysis Office (SProMBA) requires a suitably qualified Systems Analyst with experience business systems development and support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and delivery of new or revised functionality in accordance with the SDLC.
• Refinement of business systems solutions.
• Participating in implementation, system support, upgrades and rollout
• Participation in upgrade projects (new releases or support packages).
• Monitoring and analysis of system support calls/requests and issue management.
• Training users how to use software effectively in their operations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two years relevant experience in a business system development and support environment.
• A sound understanding of reporting and analytics.
• Experience of working on system implementation projects.
• Aptitude to learn system functionality.
• 3-year National Diploma OR Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to provide structured documentation.
